RAMbox or not Rambox....

Absolutely love my ramboxes. The only space you are losing is above and around the wheel well area in the bed, so the amount of usable bed space you are losing is minimal if any. It looks like you are losing more space than you really are. And you are gaining a ton of usable, lockable storage.

I have them on my new Powerwagon and really like them. This is my 5th dodge truck and even though I lost about 17" in width I'm ok with that, I would rather lose a little width than lose any lenght. I will have to say with the tailgate down on a 6'4" bed a 4×8 sheet of plywood fits just fine.

Yeah, you really dodged a bullet. I have them, and the bed is totally useless now. There is almost ZERO room for anything.

I have fit an entire rear floor for a 66 GTO in my bed so I would argue that. If you have an ATV and want to put it in the back, then I could see that possibly not fitting.

Can't imagen NOT having the boxes!

Update.

Truck was delivered and I love the RAMbox. I think the Mopar tri fold cover is OK. Time will tell.

Waterdawg, what kind of rack are you referring to? Are you talking about something like an elevated frame rack? I haven't seen much at all that is able to work with the RAMbox.

I never meant the smaller cargo box made them useless. Just said that seeing the smaller size in person dictated my decision on going without the RAMbox. I need a wider bed for what I use my truck for. Obviously the smaller cargo area is perfect for some folks. Also obvious that it isn't for some.

I just picked up my new 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab a couple of weeks ago. It came with the Ram boxes and I was definitely hesitant at first. Now only two weeks in, I could not live without them!

I do not use my pickup from daily work, but whenever we go out and about, they are awesome. I fit all of my float tube stuff in one and a ton of camping in the other. The fact it converts to a cooler after I get my crap out, it is truly awesome! KEEP THEM!
