Hello. I have a 2018 1500 Laramie that I have owned just over a year. For the third time in 6 months the alarm triggers and it can't be canceled with the key fobs. I have replaced both key fobs batteries. While the alarm is blaring, I can get in the truck and start it and drive away, all while the horn is blasting. The first 2 times this happened it had rained previously, and I had used the fob to unlock the doors. As soon as I opened the doors, the alarm went off. This last time it started up on its own in the driveway. The only way to stop the horn is pulling it's fuse. After a bit, the alarm must reset, because it stops blaring the horn. Im at a loss to figure out where to start looking. I can't afford a dealer diagnosis and repair. Does anyone have any ideas? TYIA

Take your key apart. Remove the rubber front cover from the circuit board in the back. Chances are the little buttons that make contact fell off and are lodged in the wrong place.

Happens to lots of us.

Once happened in the middle of the night to me and my truck randomly remote started. Thought someone was stealing my truck. Scared the heck out of me.

Thank you for that info. I have just done what you have recommended. That seems too simple, but hopefully, that is the cure.
