I’ve got her pilled at a 200 shot. The purge is more for car shows. Kids like that ****. Yes I will be checking on the temps because I don’t know what they will be there. This is my first nitrous F body. It is the most common place to put the bottle. I always ran my bottle in the hatch on my Foxbody and a lot of the time I was heating the bottle. We will see when I get ready to play around with it. I might do a hit Sunday early am on my way to Goodguys. I want to check nitrous and bottle pressure first. I bet I blow the crap out of my F1 tires. I need to buy some mickeys.Leave the purging for the guys on TV,not only does it waste nitrous,if you're under a 200 shot,it doesn't do squat to your timeslip.Plus your nitrous is at least 900+ psi, your fuel is at most 60 psi, which do you think is going to hit the cylinder first, and cause an instant lean condition. If you don't like your pistons purge,if you want to keep the engine alive longer and more money in your wallet don't purge.Stick a thermometer in your spare tire well and measure the temp it gets to in there, before you mount a bottle in the well.If you measure temps well above a 100,find a differant spot to mount the bottle,or come up with a way to insulate the bottle from the heat.Generally ideal bottle temp is between roughly 92 to 98 degrees,if you subject a full bottle to temps above a 100 for any length of time, you could have issues with it popping the burst disc's and dumping all your expensive nitrous inside the car.Trust me you'll only do that once,as it's very entertaining when a burst disc blows, been there/done that, lol.
Where are you mounting your bottle pressure /fuel pressure gauges and your A/Fr gauge, you'll definitely want a bottle pressure gauge so you can monitor your bottle pressure
Are you going to run a seperate fuel cell for the nitrous,i'd seriously be looking into it with a 200 shot.I’ve got her pilled at a 200 shot. The purge is more for car shows. Kids like that ****. Yes I will run a small one. I have room behind the plastic for a small one. I just got the nitrous tune loaded up on the car, so once my new line gets here today, it will be good to go. My youngest has his first girlfriend. You know we are wanting to know who the parents are etc. I find mom first and finally have time to kinda look at her social media. Go over to dads social media and he has a new 5.0 mustang lol. That is why he likes her. She's a gear head like him lol.Are you going to run a seperate fuel cell for the nitrous,i'd seriously be looking into it with a 200 shot.
These are expensive, but i swear by Nitrous Outlets cells. They probably have a dedicated one for your car.Yes I will run a small one. I have room behind the plastic for a small one. Insulate the hell out of it so it doesn't absorb as much underhood heat.I ran the underhood one on the 1320,and on a hot day with the engine at operating temp,it would damn near boil the fuel in the tank. Evaporation was also an issue, and i hated my MS109 evaporating,****'s expensive up here, lol. They do make the plumbing easier though.Stick a decent mechanical fuel pressure gauge inline in the fuel feed,so you can see what pressure you have while dialing in the regulator when you're under the hood.I had a pillar mounted gauge, but i also had an underhood mechanical gauge too. That is exactly what design I was looking at. https://nitrousoutlet.com/products/...bird-fuse-panel-dedicated-fuel-system-gas-e85
My fuel system now can handle it. It is just nice not to put the added pressure on the main system and run lean.
No need for a remote opener with it sitting there, lol. I used to run the odd Sneaky Pete systems in my younger street racing days, and you could get the little Sneaky Pete bottles under the seat, lol. That was in conjunction with a full sized system, that way you could show your competition you'd either turned the big bottle off or removed it,and they wouldn't go looking for another small hidden system.Loved them old Sneaky Petes with the nozzle mounted inside the air cleaner, lolMounted for Good Guys.View attachment 551636
