About to do mine since I’m at 95k miles so I’ll pop the cover out for it’s first time. I’ve been doing drain and fills.
I thought the tq for the bolts were 30ft/lbs?
I was kind of shocked at the amount of rtv that was used by the whoever did it first - there was damn near a 1/4 inch bead squished over the inside edge of the diff most of the way around.
It lasted for the 80k that I've had the truck, glad for that.
Mine also had a thick bed of red atv it was kind of crazy. I ended up giving my bolts 240 in/lbs, which is 20 ft/lbs.
Here is torque sequence from my lubelocker gasket. 2020-12-29_07-00-49 by RAM RSM, on Flickr
