Rear end ride quality

Can you see the bushings with the bolts installed? Might be just stress crack? Looks excessive to be normal but you don't see people looking at body mounts every day so maybe it's regularly unnoticed.

How much different do those Fox's ride, these 5125s ride way better than the 5100s I had. Much smoother compression on broken roads. Rebound is a bit light but hopefully these new coils help with the overly soft spring rate.

I already talked to them and I"ll just put my 5125's back on in the meantime if I end up doing it. I mean they're valved for a 3500 so who knows. you can barely see the bushings with the bolts installed but with the new spacer it compresses the bushing more it's a little noticeably better with the bed vibrations.

I crossed reference a bunch of shocks available to out trucks and a large portion cross reference with 2500/3500s so heavy valving makes sense for standard shock options for vast majority.

As for my truck I just installed the 5125s yesterday. I have been running standard 5100s spec d for this truck for a while, but they rode OK at best. They seemed to be valved really heavy for rebound and would pack up in the rough stuff and skip the rear bad. These 5125s are so much softer it's a huge difference. The rear feels like it floats and now my 6112s feel harsh. Lol it never ends.

Still have to get 2 new bolts. Forgot to grab them last trip to home depot. It's been hot enough here that I'm only really accomplishing 1 thing per day lol. Been stuck in a refinery wearing nomex suits all day so I'm short on motivation with 90+ humidity and 90+ real feel.

So I’ve noticed since putting on the fox shocks my bed vibrates a lot more and I can feel it in the cab. I’m assuming because they might be a little stiffer than my 5125’s but I did a little research and Teraflex makes a falcon shock kit for our vehicles. In their kit they sell a spacer for the rear cab mounts to stiffen up the mounts to help with bed vibration from their shocks. So I was able to buy the spacers from them for $10 for 2 of them. They definitely helps the cab but while I was taking my bolts off for my cab mounts i noticed the rubber bushings look torn. Idk if that’s normal but it was like this on bother sides. Pictures below is bushing and rear cab mounts.

Hey man sorry I haven’t been on in a while. Just read that Ram1500rsm had the same issue with his superlift coils. I haven’t been keeping tabs on how it sits but it’s still higher than my front by a little so not sure. I actually just ordered a 4” superlift kit so I can take the preload off my bilsteinS.

I have the 2" Mopar kit, my rear springs don't seem to have any bow to them at all. It's also funny the kit says not to use 17" wheels - there's no clearance problem on my truck with 17x8" wheels & 285/70 tires

But I do think I need to get that bracket, the truck overall doesn't feel bad crossing expansion joints or other irregularities in the road but if I'm taking a highway corner at around the posted limit and there's a bump or crack in the road the truck can get really uncomfortable really quickly once the back wheels hit it.

I can't quite put my finger on it, and maybe it's just a suggestion to slow down in a 4x4 around corners but it's worth trying to level out the track bar too.

Sorry yes I called falcon shocks directly as well. I just installed a superlift 4” kit and they came with new lift coils for the rear. The new coils are only like an inch higher than the old superlift coils but the new ones are much much heavier and have thicker coils. Maybe those 140 coils just can’t handle the weight not sure.

Not sure why they would say 17" wheels won't fit? Makes sense with aftermarket front lifts and new knuckles but on a strut and spring lift that's silly.

What rear shocks came with it? The same bilsteins listed in the thread?

Take a quick measure from hub to fender and ill compare it to mine. Once my springs settled I felt I didn't need the bracket. But when the coils were at full height it made a noticeable difference.

Honestly for the way it rides I can live with it. I am pretty much done with messing with the ram anyways. I picked up 2 jeeps and I'm making 1 solid adventure rig out of that and keeping my ram and it's nice mpg and road manners for extended trips.

As for dropping the preload. I too did that. I got a 1" thick (1.5" lift) spacer and dropped my 6112s to the 1" notch. I had to clearance few places for the cv boots, and I contact the spring at full droop with the wheel cranked, but my truck will not be seeing those situations. If it were I'd have done like you and jumped to the 4"

The 6112s are night and day better with low preload, so I hope you get you situation sorted and you can enjoy the setup.

You ever sell those Fox's? Your listing popped up on my fb a while back when I was looking for stuff for my ram. Waa gonna add you but that's creepy since you hadn't been on here.

yeah once my alignment goes through I can’t wait to feel the difference I have the bilsteins at .8 and yes I sold the shocks. I was going to have them revalved but my bilsteins rode a lot better on the highway. I just sold them recently. They were amazing off road though.

I went to standard fox 2.0s. They aren't quite as soft as the bilsteins but they really ride balanced with the front.
