Okay...Got a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd 5.9L

Pinion bearing went out and I want to put 4.56 gears in.

I'm not sure if I have a 8.25" or 9.25" rear and I been told that diffsonly.com is best place to get the gears... For now I am only getting the back ones since I won't need 4wd for a few months (just need it to move hay right now and my trucks struggling with 35s).

What all will I need in order of parts. I have a mechanic friend who's doing all the labor for me.

Where would be the best place to get the bearing kit and how can I find out which rear I have.

You have a 9.25 rear diff, you will need a major install kit, gears, depending on the damage you might need a new carrier as well.
