i think the plastic peiece is there under the seat of my 17 express but no wireing.wheres it run too ill have to look lol
the wires tie into the interiors lighting circuit. they are the same black and yellow wires that the rear dome light uses as well as the front footwell lights. you could probably find them in the main wiring harness under the driver side door sill and attach there if you can't find them up under the dash for footwell lighting, or don't want to run your new wires up that far.

Nice work!! Any chance you might have a link for the computer pins you used?

https://www.radioshack.com/collecti...5-position-male-connector?variant=20332045381

I bought this connector a couple years ago when my local radio shack was closing down for the sole purpose of using these pins for something like this. the pins are not the correct ones for this connector, but they do work and are cheap. maybe someone with more knowledge or time to research will see this and chime in on a better choice. its entirely up to you to use these and be done, or find the correct size pins that snap into the connector.

That's way better. I wonder if it does come with the pins.

Thanks
If they do not come with the pins you can get the pins separate. That is what I had to do, They are cheap. I will try and find my spares and may have a part # for the pins,if so Ill update

If you have a PN, that would be great.

I went and looked at my truck and I have one of these on each side, but I'm not sure what the extra wires are for...

Both of them were "docked" into the male connector housing so I would only need to buy the pins...

Sorry I can not find the pins. Got mine from https://edsparts.com/
The terminals next to the plug are what you need,,,,Your dealer should have them on a few $$

I did a different setup and just tapped into the wires...The wires come from in front of the storage (removed carpet in storage area) and run up to the connector...These are flush mount LEDs mounted to the sides of the cup holder...I had to drill a hole, mount the LEDs, & connect them...
