I have a 2021 1500 Laramie. Took it to the dealer for open recalls and for wet carpet on driver's side. I also have an extended warranty. Was told the back glass assembly was leaking and quoted $2732 to replace the glass. Also told that the extended warranty did not cover it. There was no mention of service bulletins and dealer campaign to fix this at no charge. It's obviously a huge problem. Knowing that 2700 to replace a window was obscene I went to Safelite where the owner has the same truck that had the same problem. Charged 738 complete to replace it. He says he sees several of these each month. He told me of the service bulletins: XG1 and XL1. Trying to get re-imbursed but Ram doesn't seem to have any US based customer "service". Anyone have any suggestions or phone numbers for someone who speaks English?

I had a 2020 Gladiator that the back glass leaked on, it was very common and the trogs at the dealership were completely unprepared to replace them. There were many stories of waiting months for the glass then the trogs breaking it installing it or the leak continuing unabated.
I put a strip of D shaped weather stripping in the channel around the window and it never leaked again. I traded it in 2024.

Check your gasket on your 3rd brakelight/cargo light. That's where my leak was. 20.00 on line, took 10min to replace. Good luck. Oh yeah my leather dash sucks too.

I had the same wet rear glass in my 2024 Rebel with 15K miles. Dealership said it wasn’t covered under the 3yr 36K warranty because it was the rear glass. They quoted my $1500.

I balked and said no way.

They called back an hour later, claimed they put it through to RAM and the company would pay $1300. I paid $200, but still am annoyed.

RAM knows this is an issue. Why is it not a service Recall or at least covered under the original warranty?

Ive driven RAMs almost exclusively since 1999. This is not enough to make me look elsewhere, but still annoyed.

My 23 leaked a little. I bought some rubber weatherstripping and shoved down behind the glass all the way across the top and so far it’s holding the water out. I didn’t want to deal with the dealer if I could avoid it. You would think after 3 or 4 years of a new model being introduced, that they would have dealt with correcting most of the major repetitive defects and problems. But apparently that’s not the Stellantis way.

The 3/36 Ram factory warranty is bumper to bumper. Only exceptions are wear parts like tires and brakes.

Op, I suggest you get the individual name of the dealer/owner and send him a snail mail letter requesting a refund, and you have a great chance of getting one.
Good luck.

I'd pm ramcares on this forum. The should help too.
