Hey all, what are the 2 little bumps for on top of the rear view mirror in the 1500 express? They have little slots in them as well.

I have a clip on mirror with 2 cameras I used on my old car and wanted to use it here but don't want to cover anything important!

Thanks!

Pretty sure they are the microphones for the Bluetooth phone and voice command service

I think they are for aerodynamics.

Seriously though I think the mic for that stuff is in head liner above driver if I’m not mistaken

It also depends on year truck OP has. I have a ‘14 express and his description sounds like exactly what I have on my mirror.

I forget what year and package they started putting the mics above the headliner. I wish mine was that way. I feel as though when I am using my Bluetooth the person is having trouble hearing me.

Mines a '15 but I'd really love to use my road camera mirror. Are there any mics that can be added to the headliner to replace the ones in the mirror?

I’m assuming it can be done. I guess you’d have to find the main connection and route it through to the headliner with the new one. Or maybe it can be taken out of mirror and wired into the headliner. Cut a little hole and insert the little cover.

I’ve never done it but I’m just going by what I conjured up in my squirrel brain
