The locator only pulls up a guy ~40 miles away. I gave him a call a few weeks back but he didn't carry our weights.
Mobile 1 Costco deal? I'm not aware. I do have two Costco's very close by.Email redline company directly, if there is a way they might be able to help. Do you have access to m1 costco deal? is your truck ticking?
I can give him a try. I didn't see that earlier! I'm guessing he only carries gear oil, but one way to find out.
I could use 5w30 and have in the past. Can you use 5w30? How cold does it get? It seams better at the tick then the 0 winter ratings. Hope the effort pays off, if you get it report if it helped in syn thread after 500 miles, or less if it takes it away immediately.
I honestly don't know the complete story to our import/export woes. I'm pretty sure if it can't come by Air, it has to come by barge. The majority of small parcel shipments will go by air. I don't believe USPS or the others operate delivery trucks up the AK highway from Washington. Wouldn't seem to be economical.do you know how the post office delvers mail usually from the lower 48, by boat or plane? has to be plane huh
ill ask my wife, she is a postal inspector
Advance auto parts can get it thru Worldpac, I don't know what the pricing is on it though. What's the problem with getting it shipped to Alaska, I know it would probably be expensive but it is part of the US. Does it have to do with air transportation/ ground?I'd assume buying on Jet would produce the same result. But I could always check it out.
Burla, that's actually a good idea about trying to "Special Order" through Napa or Oriellys. They get all their other oil products up here, surely they can add this to the list too. Might just have to wait 6-8 weeks.
I'm averaging 20k miles a year. At 4 oil changes a year, paying for big shipping on top of the initial Redline cost could get pretty heavy.

Hate to Hijack the thread a little, perhaps I should ask in the synthetic oil one...
Does anyone know of where I can pick up Redline Oil in Alaska? I've searched all over, even some of the motorsport shops, but haven't had any luck.

Yes I believe it's considered a hazardous material and would require pretty extreme packaging requirements for shipping by air. Most any of the stuff on store shelves has been brought up by barge.Advance auto parts can get it thru Worldpac, I don't know what the pricing is on it though.
