On mobile, you can't see the "top" of the "page" where it tells you the forum that the thread is in unless you go to the beginning of the thread. Aka, scroll forever up. The search function brought me straight here, NOT through the sub forum. So, by design, I was actually clueless and just thought there a bunch of 4g guys on.

My bad, bro.

I just bought 2 gallons of Redline 5W-20 to do my first oil change at 4k miles on my 5.7L. Should I stick with the spec in an engine with that little number of miles or am I better off mixing with 5W-30? I drive 90% highway miles. Thanks.

Berk: MHO —> RL 5W-20 is of a heavier viscosity compared to most 20Wt oils.

I honestly see No Need to mix it with RL 5W-30.

Your in good hands with the RL 5W-20!

I used redline 5w20 for 3 years in my truck, was great.

Changed my 2011 ram to Redline 5W30 last week when I hit 100k. Previous oil was RP 5W30.

Still running the SRT filter. Oil pressure is 53 at speed.

After another 1640 miles, engine is a lot smoother, mpg is up, about .7 tenths of a mile per gallon.

So far impressed with oil. All engine related noises have significantly decreased. And my broken exhaust manifold bolt is now my biggest noise until warm.

19 mpg freeway and 17 in town is my new normal on a 5.7 hemi with MDS disabled. This is with the 6speed and 3.55s.

Changed coils today to post 15 and installed the 100k plugs. I'm hopeful to go over 20 freeway on a regular basis. My commute is 90 miles one way, so every little bit helps

Oil change day. Coming out is Castrol Edge 5-20 with a mobil 1 xp filter. 6850 miles on the oil.

Going in, 5w20 redline. Having to use a Fram ultra filter, as nowhere in town had a rp 10-48 filter. f51e6e2deeef15712b49e376945619cf.jpg

Hi guys,
Here I can't find Redline oil so I use Yacco 5w30 Lube GDI and my engine seems to like it.
