Looks like it. Is the wire purple with a blue strip

The wire is wrapped up in protected tape, I'll have to remove it to see. Thanks for the info.

What does the 2017+ have? that my 2016 doesn't have for this trick to work?

2017 use a rf hub that has the remote start capability and antenna built-in.

2013-16 remote start kit comes with a new rf hub and remote start antenna

Am I reading this thread right??? If I wire the hood connector to read closed, and use the alfaobd app to turn on the remote start, and refresh the RFB, is that all that is required to activate the remote start??????? It sounds to easy.

I know I'm late to this party, but I have a 2015 and and all I did was install the hood latch, switch my key fob overlay, do the alfaobd stuff and my remote start works now. I have the kits Rf hub and antenna sitting in my office so I think some of the installed hubs have remote start ability in earlier years. Same thing happened in my 2013. I'm sure this post won't help you but it might save someone else some time!
