Hi all, new to the forum, I had to replace my 4.7 on my 2002 1500. A short time afterwards I got the P0601 code and Chk Eng light stays on. I assume the PCM issue is due to eng. replacement. I have no symptoms and truck runs fine. Is there a simple fix or will I need to replace or reprogram the PCM?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

That's a code for an internal PCM fault, usual fix is replacement.

Is it common this happens when you swap an engine? Or possible just a coincidence?

Normally don't frag a PCM doing a simple engine swap unless some stray voltage found its way to it.
