Replacement key fob

I lost one of my key fobs for my 2020 Ram 3500 That has the Cummins HO diesel engine. I considered buying one online that's OEM, but an auto locksmith would need to program it. Does anyone know if diesel trucks require a different fob than gasoline trucks, or are they interchangeable with proper programming? Any helpful input would be appreciated. Thanks

Is there an Ace Hardware near you? Our local store will order and program a replacement fob for a lot cheaper than the dealer or a locksmith.

If losing them is a common thing order two spares and have them both done at the same time. Toss one in a drawer and you will always have it for later.

i am a service mgr for over 1000 years we use Toms Keys on the rental fleet when one is lost or broken.* they * work * great * and you can make up to i think 7 or 9 new keys with the program apparatus !! contact them, great company easy to program, every time i make a new key with the toms key kit, i stand back and say, A it works !!! its not bull S***. good luck they have great support.

Almost any Key shop that has Mobile Service carries FOBs & the Equipment to Program them.

I pull the battery out of my spare FOB, that way, the spare FOB is not sending signals to the Ram & it helps to keep the Circuit board from deteriorating.

In fact when i am vacationing at Sandy Hook, i sometimes use the Dodge Dealership in Bristol, when the Dodge dealership in Danbury is busy.
The last time that i was in Bristol, the Crowley Dodge Dealership was real busy, so they sent me next door to their Foreign Car dealership, Nissan dealership i was in & out of there quickly

So i stopped at the Harley Davidson shop
