I finally wore out the stock tires. I had put on a 6" superlift and a zone 1.5 body lift. It was time for new rubber. I decided on Mickey Thompson Baja atz p3's I. 37/12.50r20. I had them do an alignment too since it was a little off. They gouged all four of my rims. There are four spots on each wheel. They are 15 inches apart no matter which flaw you measure from. It's 15 inches to the next spot on the rim. The truck pulls to the left too, and the steering wheel isn't straight. I emailed the company, they said that's unfortunate. Its sounds like they wanna look at it. I plan on going in Monday night when I get off work. I'm keeping my cool goin in there. Anything I need to know before I try and get the damage repaired?

Most think that a complete rim replacement is the only option but it isn't. Like you stated, you can get them "repaired" which can be a lot cheaper then buying replacements especially when it comes to oem rims. Just keep that in mind.

Good luck is all I got for ya.

Some companies will make right by the customers and some will just say "sorry".

The rims are aftermarket. RBP 96R 20X9. They're 1600. I'm hoping they'll replace them. It would be a pretty laborious process to get them right.

Did you inspect your vehicle (and rims) when you picked up your vehicle and paid for the work?

It wasn't at a Goodyear service center was it? They damaged two rims I had sold (was having the tires dismounted) then called me a liar, along with the buyer of the wheels.

Happened to me too. OEM rims got gouges all the way around when my tires were mounted. Over $1200 for new rims. They were repaired for $200 and can't tell the difference. Manager said the tires were so stiff they pressed the "duck foot" into the rim. He did, however, say that shouldn't have happened and they took care of it 100%.

Best advice is what you're doing. Talk to the manager at the shop. Stay calm, explain what happened. If you have any pictures immediately before the install, bring them with you. That will help a lot. Otherwise, just hope the manager is a good one. And if not, check out some local wheel repair shops. They might be able to get it taken care of for a lot less than you might think.

So I just got back from the shop. He only looked at one wheel and said yep. They're aftermarket and that's the way the machine grabs the wheel. It's my problem.
