Since I picked up the truck (has 44k miles, bought used at 43k) I have noticed a bit of rough idle when the engine is cold. There are no error codes, and the shop I had look at it prior to purchase gave it the thumbs up. And it isnt a really rough/violent idle, it is sort of a gentle looping motion when parked or stopped in gear.
The rough idle goes away after things get warmed up, and I have talked to an uncle that is a mopar tech and he said it sounds like the coilpacks and plugs.
If I am going to go through swapping them, I might as well upgrade them. Is anyone running higher output coils, if so what are your thoughts and what brand/model # are you running.

That is actually an article that i read the other day when first researching this topic. Other people on other forums have experienced the same idle, and in their cases new CP's solved the problem.
I'm just having a hard time finding the right coils for the 2014 application. Everything i'm seeing is on the pre2012 engines i believe. Will they be the same for all Gen 4 Rams with the 5.7 Hemi?
Maybe i'll reach out to MDS and see what they recommend. I could also reach out to Sultan of Spark as well.
Has anyone else upgraded their coils?
