Running boards

Does mopar offer a factory retractable running board, that can be retrofit? Are these controlled only by opening and closing the doors, or are there can switches? Thanks

Depends on the model you get. I have and prefer the hard wired model so nothing in the OBD port.

There was a report on one of the forums about failures to start with OBD model if you tried to start as they were retracting. I don't know if it is a real issue or just an inconvenience. Either way never had an issue with hard wired models on 3 trucks.
