My MAC OBDII scan tool will not communicate with the ecu in my 09Ram1500 5.7. From what I
can establish in various forums is that it may not be getting power through the connection. Can
someone tell me which pin(s) are power and ground?

Thanks.

Which ECU are you trying to communicate with. ECU-Electronic Control Unit is just a generic term. I’m assuming your trying to communicate with the PCM?

Do you have the key in the run position? If you start checking pins at the DLC for power/ground, make sure you also have about 2.5V on the Can C- and Can C+. The Can C pins are the actual communication circuits. So if there’s nothing there you won’t have any communication.
