SCT tuner

I have been thinking about getin a SCT tuner and wanted to ask you guys about them. I got a 96 with the 318, kegger mod, MSD coil and ign box, 185 stat, and run 91 oct.
I plan on rebuilding the engine later this summer or probebly next summer, new cam, ported heads etc. Which is why I wanted the SCT, one tune for what I got now and another tune for how I plan to rebuild the engine later.
So is the power upgrade worth the money for the SCT with what I got? Would the millage increase if I keep my foot out of it? Any thoughts would be most welcome.

before i had the sct, i had superchip 3815. there was a small gain over the 3815. not a bunch. but if you are planning on a bunch of mods donnt even mess around with superchips. heck, mine wont even run without the sct tuning now. if you are gonna do heads and cam and such you are just wasting money on canned tune stuff. i have been there already.lol
not for sure on the mileage. i have never tried anything for mpg.
and just so you know, i have tried hypertech maxenergy,jet chip,3815,and sct. in that order. sct was the best performance wise.

I'd say that the SCT is a fine tuner for your Dodge but you will not see a lot of gains on a '96 with the earlier OBD.
Mileage...some guys see a big increase, I have not . I'm told that best mileage comes from the 93 tune but I'm not sure the more expensive gas is worth it.

I sell allot of tuners. From SC to Bullydog. Gas and diesel.
But most of the time it's the SCT tuners that fly of the shelf.

Thanks guys. The rebuild is even in question, because I dont know if I want to rebuild the 318 or try and find a good core 36o to rebuild. Cost of good core and the one question of... Would the SCT tuner be able to handle a tune for my 318 and then hold one for the 360 if/when I do the swap??
