Alright so those of you that have used it before, how do you like it? How much do you use, and how often? What exactly does it do? Do I just put a certain amount into the gas tank? I was thinking about getting a bottle eventually..

it can be used for a few different things... you can put it in the gas tank to clean out fuel lines/injectors, put it in the crankcase right before and oil change to clean that out, or suck it up through a vacuum line to clean out your top end. i use it once every couple oil changes

Sea foam is awesome. If you put it through the vacuum make sure you're in a well ventilated area. I've never heard of anybody having any problems with it. My dads company uses it in everything. It's definitely worth the money

I saw their video on their website about where to put the sea foam into..I will also refer back to that if I end up getting some

If you're looking for something for your gas tank, use Berrymans B-12 Chemtool. It is the strongest formulation on the market and works well. I use one can in my tank at each oil change and it yields very good results.

I like the stuff. Really cleaned out the truck. I don't do the oil I do the tank and vacuum.

Can you also mix it with the oil (through where you check the oil level)? I heard to do it shortly before an oil change?

IMO, additives are never needed if proper maintenance is routinely performed.
If it was actually strong enough to do anything, it couldn't be sold over the counter. My recommendation is do your routine maintenance and use quality products, the rest is snake oil marketed to take your money and little else.

You can do the exact same by using ATF or a tad bit of Kerosine in your crankcase rather than the Seafoam and yield the same results and be safer. You have to be careful with it though, cause it can thin your oil out and cause bearing damage.

The detergents in your oil are designed to hold dirt/contaminants in suspense, hence why oil darkens as it is used. When you run your oils too long, those detergents break down and can no longer hold those contaminants in suspence, depositing them on your engines internals. The best way to clean your engine is simply use a high detergent engine oil, like Valvoline or Pennzoil and change it as advised. Don't get ancie if your oil is dark when you change it, 95% if the time all that means is the oil is doing it's job.

Hose to the power brake can is usually a good source.

Ok I know what you're talking about now - so it's best if I just don't even bother putting it with the oil though? I do keep up with regular maintenance of oil changes and whatnot..have never missed an oil change yet

IMO, I wouldn't use it or any other additive. Just do proper maintenance.

Well from what I have been experiencing lately, the 4.7L is bad with gunk build up if you are not using the best gas and oil.

So the seafoam is probably really good to use in the oil if the maintenance is questionable, and in the vacuum line.
