Hey Guys and Gals.

Wondering if anyone has added any spacers to raise seat height for front seats in the RAM 1500???

If so any tips? I searched and found nothing in forums about it.

I feel like my seat needs to be higher.

Spacers on the rear bolts, no problem—washers. But the front bolts insert parallel to the floor. Therein lies the challenge.

there are companies that do that. really fat people get their seats modified all the time and you'd think basketball players would need that in every vehicle

I had to do it for my wife in her Journey to get a better seat angle. I added longer grade 8 bolts and the stainless spacers. Worked well but as mentioned above not sure how the fronts would work since I only did the rear bolts.

As another tall dude, I think I can fab up a couple of those links for the front attachment point so I can get a little more rake to the seat bottom. It's one of my only complaints about my new Ram. I miss the seats from my superduty.

yeah i looked at it on lunch. can just make a plate that spans across bolt in and have new holes a bit higher on the plate that the seat bolts to.

IMO this was my only complaint about the RAM... i had an 11 f150 xlt power bucket seats and i could drive from RI to SC without stopping but once for gas and those seats were so comfortable!

You can switch to a power seat. It raises and lowers. I just did mine.

I have a power seat and there's not a lot of useful drop to it. I'm 6'3", long torso and the seat is dropped front and back all the way and I would like a couple more inch drop in back. You can raise the front up but overall the whole seat gets raised so it's not really useful.

I can attest to this. I’m not tall but even going the opposite direction at the height of adjustments it is not comfy and the rake is definitely not ergonomically comfortable.
