Hello all. New here. Just picked up a 16 RCSB. Truck has the 40/20/40 manual bench with no height adjustment. At 5'9 I'm not tall and would love to put the seat down. I've done a ton a searching for ideas and mods but not much help. I've managed to find spacers to lift but nothing about lowering. Maybe an electronic seat?? To anybody that's had an A-B comparison with the electronic and manual seat does the electronic go down lower then the manual?

Maybe someone with a RCSB truck with power seats can measure the height of them in reference from the headliner down to give you an idea if you'll gain much switching to power seats.

Did you ever figure out a solution to lower your seat? I have a power driver seat and still don't have enough head room....

Nope. Just tried to get used to it. I've been looking in to power seats

Every truck I’v bought since 1995, the first thing I’ve done is pull out the drivers seat, cut 2” out of the legs and weld it all back together.

This was going to be my recommendation... if you don't want to cut your seat bracket i'm sure your local junk yard might should have one for cheap or eBay.

If reaching the pedals is your reason for wanting a lower seat you could get pedal extenders instead.

How about trying a scrap yard for the pedal box from a higher spec truck that you can adjust the pedals on. My 17 longhorn could raise and lower pedals. ThT way leave seat alone?
