So, I added to my fleet of Rams and just purchased a used 1500. The funny thing is that it looks like the baby brother to my current 2015 2500 Mega Cab. It is pretty much identical except for the size. I feel like I got a pretty good deal and real happy with the purchase.

2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7

28K Miles
Limited Slip
3.92 gears
8 Speed
Power fold mirrors
Leather Buckets with Full Center/Floor Consul

Wife is taking the train down to San Diego tomorrow for work then will Uber to the location to pay for the truck and drive it the 90 miles home. Then right into storage it goes for three months. The last pic is my current 2500.

Paid $32K. It books at about $34.5 or so and I didn't have to travel to get it. Has all the feature I wanted it to have.

Some will flame or ***** or whatever about this but it is in storage until the end of July as this will be my Son's truck when he turns 16.

No flame from me. My folks bought/passed down all us kids our first car and we bought our daughter her first car. My father (and now I) feel like making sure we start them out with a good, solid and safe rig is important. That being said, we never got anything as nice as what you're son is getting. Mine was a 72 Pinto Station wagon......needless to say, there was incentive to work and buy my own something that had a little more "chick magnet" going for it.

Yeah, my boy, our only kid, does very well in school, is already a leader as a sophomore on the Varsity football team, we get compliments from other parents all the time and just an overall great son. We also wanted a truck for him that had all the safety features including cameras and sensors along with 4x4 as he will be going to college in 2.5 years out of state either in Montana or Oklahoma where a truck and 4x4 will be needed.

I'll be asking a bunch of half ton questions in the next couple months so I look forward to being on here more, again.

Nice ride! Almost looks like mine! :D

Can't go wrong with OSU. ;) Probably not a bad idea hanging out with the scenery in Montana, either. I'm sure it's a tad better than the landscape in Stillwater. :D

Yep, Bozeman is an awesome place in a beautiful state. I spent 3 years in Stillwater for college myself and loved it too. Was a great place to go to school. He is looking at about 6 schools but Montana State and Oklahoma State are at the top of the list.

No flames from me bud. Your kids your prerogative......but Wow, yeah I thought I was doing good when I turned 16 my dad got me an 87 Ford ranger gt to USE wasn't mine.

My boys are going to get junk when they turn 16 and learn how to work on em and fix em up themselves. I'll help them but it'll be their baby. I want them to learn how hard it is to make money and how quickly it can go. I want them to learn to take care of things. That's how I learned and I drove junk for many years...but I learned a lot along the way.

But that's just me and I was raised old school. To each their own.
