I need some help, I have a 2500 4x4 with a 360 she's all factory stock I've had her since she was 2 yrs old , The problem I'm having. Is that I get a shake when I accelerate from about 45 miles an hour to 55 miles an hour, If I let off the gas the shaking stops I can't pinpoint. Where the shaking is coming from? I did the ball joints and all the tie rod ends and wheel bearings about 2 years ago, and it has good tires. I've checked U joints and I don't feel any problem there . any help would be greatly appreciated

Single piece driveshaft or two piece with a carrier bearing?

Ok, let's expand the acceleration... is this a foot to the floor, downshift acceleration or staying in the same gear gentle acceleration?

And just to be clear, are you able to drive in and out of the vibration/shaking? In other words, no signs of it below 45 or over 55?

Normal acceleration not to the floor I get up to 45. It begins to vibrate up to 50 fi've. Then it gradually goes away past 55 if At any time while it is vibrating, I let my foot off the gas the vibration goes away If I accelerate again it will begin to vibrate again.

I will do that, but they are very new tires. And and the confusing part is, it only happens under acceleration? If I'm coasting, there is no vibration but I will check. Just to make sure

I had 4 New Michelins, in 2019, i still have 3 of them on my Ram.

The 4th one had a bubble on the in side of the tire.
I figured that at some time, i may have struck something while driving between California & Connecticut

I had a Road Hazard Warranty, so i bought a new tire, different brand, i drove back to Cali with the bad tire in the Rams bed.
They paid me for the cost of the replacement tire & gave me a new Michelin :)

I had this and after months of trying to work out what was wrong traced it to a loose pinion flange on the front diff. Tightened that up and all gone.
I have though still got a small vibration at 60 mph +/- and from what I read this is almost standard on Ram Trucks. Anyone that has had this and totally eliminated it I would like to hear from

Pull drive shaft, sometimes they can feel tight, but if you have it loose, seized with rust/ no grease. If you had a center bearing, that sounds like that. I had a shake with the car, and it was a bad tire at 40-50 , bad belt , it would balance OK, seemed like a flat spot on it.
Rotate the tires if that has not been done.

I used to have the exact same problem. Issue was engine misfiring due to fouled plugs, which were fouled due to plenum gasket leak letting oil into the cylinders.

Factory tune shifts into overdrive around 40 MPH (or at least mine did), and that was when the shaking would always happen. Turning off the overdrive stopped it, and I would just leave it off until I hit 60, where I would reenable it again. Did that for a while until I did the plenum repair.
