Has anyone upgraded their shocks on the 13 express. I think it's good but there is always better? I wanna know what to buy or good brands out there.

There's always BILSTEIN; that's what I always replace my OEMs with.

From what I can see Bilstein doesn't make them for my year yet. I put in a little time this morning looking for them but to no avail. Thanks for the help men.

are they really going to make THAT much of a difference that its worth the cost to replace new shocks?

Shocks make a huge difference in handling or wheeling. All of the top brands entry levels will firm up your trucks ride. Bilstein, KYB, Rancho etc. Many people including me find the entry level shocks too firm, so consider getting an adjustable shock.

I would stick with the stock ones they do ride softer than the Bilstein's.

The question I would need answered is what do you want out of a shock? Do you want to handle around corners at the loss of some comfort? Do you not care about immediate response and prefer comfort over bumpy roads? Is it a 4x4 and are you gonna go offroad? Are you gonna get bigger tires?

If you have a 4x4 and gonna get bigger tires, you will want a firmer shock that will help you when turning. If you have a street truck and most of your driving is city and freeway, you will probably want a firmer shock. If you drive on country roads and plan on leaving it stock, you definitely wont want a firmer shock.

If you want better handling. It would be wise to spend money on some sway bars or a drop.

I disagree with that, IMO Bilstein's improve ride quality. Now with that said would I replace Brand new shocks - not unless I had a hole burning in my pocket and had nothing better to do. I will probably go a couple of years and then make the switch. I would dare say that to many people put spacer kits on that do more to hurt ride quality than anything else.
