Should I upgrade my tires to LT for towing?

Yeah I just got a price quote from a local place too, just gotta make up my mind here

General Grabber AT/2 in 275/65/20
Tire Rack: $1132 total shipped
***: $1196/mounted and balanced ($299/per)

Toyo Open Country AT II 275/65R20
Tire Rack: $1216 total shipped
***: $1196/mounted and balanced ($299/per)

The Grabbers are 62lbs where the Toyo's are 57lbs vs the OE 40 lbs.

Just thinking out loud in the thread I've hijacked.

Well I broke down and put on a set of Cooper AT3s in 275/65R20. First day on we got 4 inches of snow on the highways and they chewed right thru it. A lot better than the stock goodyears. Currently have the pressure set at 45 psi. I will have to play with that for a while to see what the truck likes. As for towing or hauling, that will be a later post, but I expect good things. Also picked up a Hypertech Speedo calibrator to adjust for the extra inch in height...

Good looking tires! Looking forward to hearing how they handle weight. Always been a fan of cooper tires.

I have had 4 sets of those already and they wear great. I am getting ready to my a set for my 1500 Ram. Are those 10 ply or 4 ply?
