Do you know the weight capacity of the AMP boards? If i am going to spend that kind of money, it's got to handle my 320 lbs without flinching, and last the life of my truck. Are they that good?

I think they are that good ..... However I am no where near your weight so can't comment on how they will work for you. I think they have a 600lb capacity though? Personally I wouldn't put 600lbs on any side step based on the way they all mount.

i've been eyeing those.
What's the weight capacity (i'm a big guy - just over 300 lbs.)?
Which model did you get, and did it have rocker panel mounts, or body mounts?
I'm over 300 as well. I can open the door grab the hand hold and shake the truck without the step tubes on mine deflecting / bending at all. They mount to the rocker panel but the front mount also has a 45* angle bracket thats 3/16 or better angle iron that goes to the body mount bolt just under the front floor boards. They are fairly quick and easy to install.

For everyone with the wheel to wheel boards, is there a third connect point back near the rear wheels? I would like to go with the full length boards if possible but I want to make sure they are strong enough back there.

No. It mounts under the cab in three places. My running boards are very sturdy near the rear wheel. I have a crew cab with 8' bed.

I'll have to check the exact model tomorrow. I'm just a little guy at 210lbs but it doesn't flex with me and my daughters boyfriend has to be pushing 300lbs and never mentioned them moving under him.
They actually mount in two places, the rocker panel and the heavy frame behind it.

Would love to see pictures of steps, tube,s, or boards on regular cab trucks..

These are the OEM Ram/Mopar black tubular side steps. I’ve been thinking of taking them off and going with a really nice set I saw on eBay for $225.

I can’t decide between the following steps, I like borh sets but I’m sort of leaning towards the drop step version.

Actually I like the looks of the stock Mopar ones, but you do have a couple of nice choices to decide on. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Thank you jbyron for the pictures, I know the pickings are slim for regular cabs. The Mopar ones look very nice on your truck. Just really on the fence about them since I have found myself by passing steps/bars getting in & out of trucks with them. Then I end up with the back of my pants rubbing against them. I'm sure it is just a learning curve to using them.
Thanks again for the picture.

welcome! Funny you say that, it was a little bit of a learning curve. First couple of weeks I’d keep having to pause getting in not sure which foot to use to step up gracefully. Was tripping over my own legs overthinking my way into the truck.

I have this type of steps on my 2020 2500 Laramie from the factory. 1st time I have had this type step on a truck through all the years I have owned trucks>>>>>>So far I really like them but time will tell after this winter here in Wisconsin>>>>>I like how nice and wide they are for putting your foot on to get into the truck>>>>I am hoping that the steps are not to slippery come winter though>>>>
