I love my reg cab, had it since brand new. 2014 Express, Hemi, 4x4. I got to see what it could do near Mineral Wells, Tx, a few weeks ago at Hidden Falls Adventure Park. (Didn't get too many pics, but it did more than this.)

I'll be honest, I was not a fan of RCSB's at first.

They grew on me like freckles on a redhead. Every time I see one on the road I give the driver a thumbs up.

So clean!

I was having my oil changed at Bill Luke in Phoenix, and they had tons of single cabs, including 1 or 2 longs beds. Most, but not all were Hemis, but not a single one had the 8.4 and better gauge cluster. I can't figure out why almost none do. It's only like a $695 option. Mine is one of the rare ones that does have it.

And a row of them.

4wd versions of those look like mountain goats. There's a 2nd gen 1500 on one of the sites. Solid axle,hemi,shortbed,2-3" lift, cab high shell. Nice.

Man the 2 worst things about riding in the back of the truck were fighting over the hot spot from the muffler in winter and burning yourself with the sun and all the hot metal in summer.
The one we grew up in had a camper top on. Our biggest fight was who was setting by the open sliding glass window in the front during the summer.

To me newer single cab trucks are just weird/ugly as Fk not just rams all brands they are always worth 10x less to and are often 2wd. Now if your talking older trucks that look good im on board lol.

I had the bumpers and grill painted gloss black. Added a nice touch. It was a base v6 with rambox. Bought in 2017 brand new. Everyone thought it was a police truck :)

I always preferred the RCLB, but ended up going to the quad cab when my son was in a rear facing child seat. It's not a lot of fun to pick up the child seat with your elbow so you can shift into 2nd. I doubt I'll go back to a regular cab again. I don't need a long bed these days and I like the flexibility of a the SUV/Truck hybrid of four doors. Quad cabs or Crew Cabs don't offend my sense of aesthetics, it takes a mega-cab to do that for me.

There is some exaggeration going on in this post. As far as the appearance, that is personal preference, while I love the single cab short beds, I don't like the look of newer single cab long beds myself, but single cabs do not drop in value at any higher rate than any of the other models. It sure as hell isn't 10 times faster than quad and crew cabs. If anything, the more expensive the model is, the quicker it will depreciate, and at a higher rate.

In other words, my single cab Express will depreciate at a slower rate than a Limited. Of course it's worth less, because it cost half as much to begin with, but the rate in which it depreciates is actually slower.

My Favorite from some years ago, I sold it about 5 years ago and it's in a Texas collection today,,

Looks like a 75 or 76 F250 Camper Special.Neighbour down the road had one,and it rode like a D8 Cat,lol.It'd literally do a dance on a washboard road,lol.Was it a 390 with the little 600 Holley 4 barrel.
