Single row in 09-12 front bumper

In exchange for some of my mechanical expertise, I have received a 27" Rigid single row light bar.

Has anyone ever put a single row in the hole between the tow hooks? I haven't seen it yet around me and a post in the facebooks had zero responses. I'd hate to think I'm the first person to have done this given the trucks have been around for more than a decade.

I have the bar and the harness with a relay for it. I already have the switch figured out. I'm wondering if it's even gonna fit and how I would go about mounting it if it does. I have a basic idea of how I want to do it but I figure why blaze a trail if a path has already been made?

I have a 30” single row between the tow hooks on my 2017 Sport. I had to design/make brackets to mount mine but it’ll be different than yours being a 09-12.

I trimmed my filler panel and made it two pieces. I'm mounting to the holes in the inside upright of the hook pocket. I got it mocked up. Just need to make one more bracket and paint them all. I'll probably end up bending the lower lip of the bumper hole if the light doesn't throw far enough and needs adjusted up.

Done. It's a 20" inside lens 23" stud end to stud end. Truck had prior accident damage before it was imported but nothing major and I had to stack a couple washers on one side to get into sit center. Still a tiny bit off but that could be a small discrepancy in my hole drilling skills. Brackets are painted and tight, filler panels are trimmed up. Just need to wire it in. Very minor coaxing of the bumper hole was needed to get it in without it rattling around or wearing on sharp edges. Overall I'm happy with it. Now to get it on the road and aimed.

Functional! This bar seems to be worth every penny of what someone would have paid for it new. Harness is well built and heavy duty, the bar itself has withstood a number of years mounted front and center on a grille. I decided to remove a siren tone from my controller button array and use it instead to trigger the relay for this bar. I have 3 siren tones still but I opted to trade the e-buzzer tone for the light bar. I liked it for intersections bet I have wail, Yelp, and hyper Yelp which will serve just fine as I use them the most anyways. I'm limited with only six buttons. If I add anything else I'll have to piggy back wire it in to a current button or find a way to mount a switch somewhere.
