Hey guys new to the forum. I have a 2018 Ram quad cab. I was wondering if you guys could steer me in the right direction. I'm looking to replace my factory 6x9 Front and back speakers with some after market speakers. I've heard that they can not be too deep because of the window rail that sits inside the door. any help would be appreciated.

Since I have a crew cab, not a quad cab, not sure about the back door speakers, but in the crew cab only the front door speakers have a depth limitation. It's 2 7/8", so if a 6X9 speaker is less than 2 7/8" deep you should be good on the front doors.

Do you have the alpine system in your truck? Makes difference on route to go.

I have a crew cab and the only depth limitations are on the front doors. I’ve seen where some people use a small spacer between the front door and the new speaker and there’s no problem with depth. I tried that and it works great!

I would go with the Mopar Kicker speakers, easy plug and play and a huge difference in sound and the cost is reasonable.

are you planning on running an amplifier to the new speakers?
