Do one side at a time. jack it up high enough and put a stand under the frame about where the door is. take the wheel off, and brake caliper and rotor. Undo the tie rod end nut and use a sledge hammer and keep pounding the spindle until it pops loose. If your suspensions never been taken apart its gonna take some really good hits. Also if it has a lot of miles nows the time to replace some parts(new tie rod ends, upper control arm, lower balljoints).
Take the shock out.
Go ahead and remove the three bolts holding the hub assembly onto the spindle on the back and remove it.
Then partially unscrew the upper control arm nut but leave it on the bolt. start pounding away at the spindle right by the ball joint until it pops loose. Once it does, jack up on the lower control arm, remove the nut all the way and slowly lower the control arm. Just watch the spring and youll be good. GO ahead and get the spring out of the way when the control arm drops low enough.
Then you gotta do the same with the lower ball joint. Partially undo the nut and start hitting away. Once it pops loose then hold the spindle and undo the nut all the way.
Then just install the spindle in reverse order. I know theres at least one DIY out there on another forum about it too. Just google ram 2wd 3" spindle install
