Sport Hood

Is the sport hood with the vent cut outs the same as sport model hoods without the cut outs. I mean is the only difference the 2 fake vents?

I like the look of that hood but can't really find one.

The sport models that don't have the sport hoods have the same hoods as all the other 1500 trucks. They bolt up and fit the same. Sport hood just has different design on top.

Yeah the sport has a higher cowl part, with vents.

the regular hood looks like a mild cowl hood (from the 90's that every one put on chevs) with softer / smoother sides of the cowl portion.

not drastically different, other than 1000$ for the sport hood. For some reason.

They are as fake as fake can be!

Although some have modded them so you can open them up.

I plan to do it to my southern express.

If you want OEM, then through the dealer or find someone selling their's. There are aftermarket hoods like the Duraflex MP-R hood which is exactly the same & then there's the RKSport version in the pic below
