Doesn't matter when the e-fan comes on,if the thermostat is closed. If you've never changed the T-stat,it's a 203 stat. Get it out o the highway at 110 clics for an hour, idling around town, doesn't get it up to operating temps. You're truck would be 1 of 1 if it runs at 197 with a 203 thermostat, lol. If you had changed it to a 195 stat,i could see it running at 197,lol

I take the highway to work, as well yesterday I was on the highway for 30 min each way after work.

Entire time it was between 195-200F. It does get up to about 205F then you can tell the thermostat has opened up and then hovers around that 197F mark.

We’re talking like a 5 degree variance here lol. A 203F thermostat isn’t always going to start to open exactly at 203F, it’s usually plus or minus 3-5F.

We have to remember it’s also fall temperatures out. I also have a big metal intake a top my engine which is going to absorb that het from the engine as well. How much I have no idea.

I have no doubt it is a 203 thermostat, service info is and has been wrong before. This just seems to be what my truck runs at, st this time. I’ll bet in the summer it runs warmer.
