I need help. turned off truck and got out and closed the door and my radio was still on?
i have an aftermarket pioneer but was installed years ago. i tried basics: unhooked battery,
opened dash and unplugged unit, checked codes. thought maybe a relay so checked all those.
the cabin lights still work with door just the radio has to b turned off manually now

just at a loss of what it can be.

I wouldn't fix that, I'd pay extra for that feature, lol. I hate having to power everything up just to get my radio when I'm taking a break in the truck.

Sounds like it's getting power from another source. With the truck off you could start pulling fuses to see which one is giving it power. Then work on tracing that line.

You have both a switched and constant power going to the radio. I guessing the problem is within the radio itself, as the switched power just tells the radio when to go on. The constant power, usually fused higher powers the radio.
If you make sure the 12 volts going to the switched power lead is turning off, that will confirm the issue is within the radio.
