Did you ever play football with us in the field next to our barracks? We were right next to the women's one :). Big mistake on someone's part.

You ever notice this car in the parking lot?

Can’t remember playing football (can’t remember sh*t) but I DO remember the women’s barracks and making my way out before daybreak.

The cuda does seem familiar though. I had a ‘73 Duster with a 440 in it..

Don’t remember that but there was a cat, might have been a jet engine mech, that had a gold ‘70 GTO Judge that had a 455 4-spd that was a freaking animal. And the guy that was a CC (I think he was) SMsgt with the Vega that had a big block in it.

Funny how you remember the cars but not the people.

Yeah, I only remember a few folks, at this age now - wish I would have kept in touch with some of them. I might remember the GTO, wasn't he the guy who only owned it a few weeks when someone ran a red light downtown and t-boned it, totaling it out? Fortunately, he and his wife weren't seriously hurt, just bruised. Now that I'm thinking about it - his may have been orange.

Yeah, A.G.E setting in isn't fun, but man, you are sure bringing back some good memories. We used to "appropriate" a few picnic tables from around the base in the summer and set them up between ours and the women's barracks, one of us would fire up a stereo and we'd all have some great picnics out there. We all had some killer stereos back then.

Yeah, no kidding’. All those cats that were coming back from Japan with stuff they didn’t even sell in the US. Between that and jet noise, it’s no wonder I’m about deaf..

Hmm, no, doesn't ring a bell. I've been wracking my brain all night trying to put names to the faces I remember. Only coming up with a few so far, any of these names ring a bell?

Keith Anderson
Carl T Smith
Richard Day
Eric Nelson
George Katzakis
Jim Bailey
Monty Bailey (yeah, that's his real name)
Jean Peterson (worked in Finance)
Gary Calhoun

Ashamed to admit that's all I can come up with so far.

Do you remember the plane that on take-off, as soon as the squat switch released, the drop tanks did exactly what they were designed to do, dropped off, at the end of the runway, guess who's plane that was? LOL

hahahaha I’ve been doing the same thing.

yeah, George does. Can’t put a face to the name, but I definitely remember the name. Gary Calhoun does to.

You gotta remember Gary Rutledge. How about Debbie LaBlanche?

There was a CC too that was also in the CAP. Had a Chevy Impala that looked like an unmarked cop car..I went flying with him one Saturday morning. Hungover as +{!~ bout lost my cookies.

LOL - I do remember them both. I'm pretty sure Debbie was friends with another girl, gawd I can't remember her name, who talked me into giving her one of my favorite t-shirts, It was Mighty Mouse and she just had to have it.

Gary Calhoun was a great kid, his parents were realtors in Charlotte. We'd go to the World 600 there every year and camp in the field across the street. His mom used to always give us stuff to eat, although I think we actually drank more then we ate. Sigh - to be young again.

Yeah, hey lived in a mobile home off base. Can’t remember her name either. I do remember her throwing a glass of ice and liquor at me once.. I knew Debbie very, very well.

Did not know he was from Charlotte. Sounds like he had a good mom. And isn’t that how it always is? No beer left and lots of food. That seemed to be the norm at Rockingham. That Bojangles on the way to the track probably made as much money on those two weekends as it did the rest of the year. Too bad it got shut down. They tried to reopen it several times, but something always kept it from happening.

He’s sending it on its way tomorrow. There’s a cable I have to get to use an aftermarket camera but it should be plug and play. I’m just not sure if the cable is supposed to to go in the tailgate and use the cable that is already there or if it goes between the radio and the cable that comes with the camera..

Which one are you getting? I, or someone else on here should be able to tell you.
