Since I got one of these now, I plan to run a PUP 5W-30 VOA & UOA on it this spring, but with the recent questions about Blackstone reliability, not sure what to do.

Regardless, I run 100% Top Tier gas for the injector nozzle, this spring I'll be running CRC intake valve cleaner through it since it's a single injector GDI the intake valve gets gunked by the PCV, along with the turbo vanes.

I'm going with SpeedDiagnostics next time. The turnaround is supposed to be a week, the price isn't that much more, supposedly better quality test with better info, and, they are about one hour from me.

So since the failure of the Camaro cheby has had one thing going for it, and with exception of early camaro's chevy's super star and incredible offering has long been the Corvette. Poor mans Lambo and imo it is something they have done pretty right there the decades as far as performance and quality. That is until now, enter the new Corvette, wait for it.... I guess the bud light lady found a new job? One option a 4 bangers di turbo, yawn.

The Corvette SUV will be an all-new model for the Chevrolet lineup when it goes on sale. We don't have an estimated timeline for the Corvette SUV's production yet, but when we learn more we will update this story.

OK.. This is just too much. Sometimes I wonder if press conferences that these automakers give are just like that South Park episode where the journalist asks George W. Bush, "Are you high or just plain stupid?" and Bush goes, "I assure you, I am not high."
Just because Luxury marques like Ferrari and Lamborghini are now making SUVs, that does not mean that American manufacturers should and use known brand icons - like Mustang with the Mustang Mach-E and now this stupid Corvette abomination. The Italians never made SUVs before. They were luxury sports car manufacturers. SUV is an American invention and therefore was already in production. Americans already make good SUVs like with iconic SUV names like Escalade, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Blazer, Tahoe, Explorer, etc.

No disrespect, but this thread seems like it is beoming a general post thread. Every time I see a new post, I think yea more good synthetic oil info. Often times, NOT.
O well, just venting. Life has a way of making some people vent and comment when others just ignore and keep going along. I love this thread please dont take this the wrong way. ;)

Porsche sells more Cayennes than the rest of its lineup combined. Mach-E was stupid, but a proper Mustang based performance oriented SUV would be a hit. Sports cars are dying. Even upper middle class families struggle to afford three cars at modern prices. Charger was a big success for Dodge because it's a muscle car for the whole family. That's what these sporty SUVs are. Have your performance but also be able to take the family along.

So in re-imagining what it means to be a corvette, now we include a weak 4 banger that looks like a rav 4? Why stop there, why not make the next EV moped also a Corvette? How about a Corvette lawn mower, oh yeah cant wait.

I watched, didn't get much out of that one.
Still transitioning to Fram FE.
Mike - the CK-4 did the similar thing to diesel oil to not poison 1st ever catalysts.
I've also seen Cummins backing down on 10W-30 as primary recommendation on some sites? I'd guess wear and blowby issues for those that actually load these things.

What they have done with diesels I don't know why anyone would bother owning one unless of course they needed it or had plenty of money to fix the issues with exhaust from EGR to tip. At least ram Cummins went to the cp3 pump, they should get credit for that. My friend bought a new f240 and he is winging it on the cp4. I think he bought an extended warranty, but he had no real reason for that much truck, I think some day he will regret that one.

The Google ai still says Ford doesn't spec ck-4, is this correct?

I guess you can search and see if the heavy hitters like rotella t6 also specs WSS-M2C171-F1, which is the Ford spec.

Any subaru fans or non fans out there. I am trying to put a list in front of the wife for options. I like they have a non di option and well it is the price that is attractive, if we get a 350 it will be used, but we can afford a outback at under 30k.. Which would you opt for? If you had a budget anything under 30k for a wife going into retirement soon ish, how would you spend it assuming that you actually need to spend it as she is asking for it. I'd rather work with her then let her buy something w/o my input.

I doubt she would even consider a big 3 vehicle, her entire family is in Lexus, toyo, etc. I'm sure she would go merc or German in general as well, obviously as a used choice.

The young men tell me Subaru engines fail. I don't know why or how, they aren't around this week to ask.

Short of the other, newer Japanese engine failures going on, Toyota and Honda used to be reliable.

Again, I'm trying my luck on a Mazda, if I can keep it alive. It drives great, and I've read the engine failures of the 1st generation of their "SkyActive" models (whatever that's supposed to mean) are no longer an issue.

My requirements are non di turbo with huge points for no cvt. We might just end up in a 350, lol. It's a natural aspirated v6 with 8 speed that gets 30 mpg's. I'd like to know options if anyone knows of some.

Man I looked up servicing the 350, when you compare it to the ram 8 speed wow what a difference. On the 350 there is an overflow section and checking the fluid is simple, if it over flows then you are good, lol. If you open it and no oil, then you fill. I'd rather have a dip stick, but this is just as easy. There is a simple step I omitted, just running the shifter threw gears, but so much easier then ram 8 speed.
