Tailgate assist pushes tailgate off track

On the right side is where it will come off. When I just let it open by itself it drops slowly but will end up pushing itself off and when I close I have to lift and make sure I get it back on. Anyone else have this issue?

Which tailgate assist?

If its the DeeZee I could swear I read its only meant to be installed on the drivers side and only use one because two will cause issues.
