Not being a fan of chrome/badging and having gotten rid of most of it there was one last piece to go figured I'd document it for the group...I may be wrong but it seems slightly different that previous years that I think just had two posts for alignment. This has those two posts and for tabs.
Taking the inner part of the tailgate off allowed access to two of the tabs. I was able to pop off the white 'locks'. Pushing on the black part still sticking thru to loosen it didn't get me far.
Out came the hair dryer. Heat that up real good and use the handy dandy pull tool. Basically a flat screwdriver with the end bent over.

There is enough of a gap between the badge and the metal to get that in there. DON'T PRY. Catch the edge of the badge and pull. It's a long hard pull trying to get the glue to break loose. Be prepared for the badge to come off in two pieces. First the chrome outside came off with some pulling...leaving the black backing that had the tabs.

Back to the hair dryer and the pull tool. Got a corner up and then grabbed the vice grips. With those, it worked right off and most of the glue pad came with it. I never did get the clips on those bottom tabs that go into the tailgate but it came off pretty easy.
A little cleanup...

And the new black one sticks right in.

All in all...about 20 minutes.
