Do your steering wheel buttons work?

I don't have any steering wheel controls for the radio. On My steering wheel I only have the instrument cluster navigation buttons arrows up/down left/right and the cruise control as well as gear shift buttons, no sound related ones. What I have works.

Ok, in this menu I want you to select Low Z instead of Hi Z and reboot.

Low Z/Ram Lot/ tried all protocols rebooted every
time - nothing happens. Radio works, when in reverse the camera screen activates, no AC, no power button, no hazard, ...

Ok if you want we can try reflashing the firmware with a full reset. I would make sure @jmckeejr is still ok with a return if we proceed.

In addition, have you inspected the connectors to ensure there are no bent pins and/or loose wires?

I'd rather not do it if is not going to work then I'll have problems returning it. Thank you for all the help though! I'll pull it out and pack it for return. I really wanted it to work ... Have a perfect weekend!

I haven't been here in a while since things have been going OK with my radio............but of course that changed. I installed the audio controls in the steering wheel a year or so ago, and you don't have to turn anything on to get them to work so they worked just fine. I recently temporarily removed the Tesla radio as I was having an issue with my backup cam and wanted to rule out the radio. When I put the Tesla radio back in the steering wheel audio controls no longer work. Ever heard of this? Any ideas?

Open the console menu on the the radio home screen and switch the measurements from American to metric and back again. It should work again (I don't know why this works)...

I went out to the truck and tried it. No luck. Did it several times turning off the truck and waiting a few minutes and turning it back on with no luck. Maybe it'll work when I go back out there later.

It was always immediate for me. Can you take a picture of the screen you are changing it in? There are multiple places and it only worked (for me) from one...

You know I thought I had this problem before so I went looking back in this thread. On page 204 I found my post where I got it to work. I did the save and reboot again with no luck. I for got to take a picture but I know I have posted that before. I'll find it and let you know.

It's all a blur to me now too. I'm sure some people may get tired of me asking the same questions or asking for pictures that I've asked them for before but I get A LOT of questions in PM too and it's the only way I can keep things straight!

No luck. My Advanced Settings doesn't have original steering wheel controls setting. I'm going to post a picture SitKneelBend asked for.

I actually just took pictures of every setting available from every menu possible, System Settings, Advanced, and System Info so I can send you anything else you need. I saved them all to my laptop so I'll have them the next time........

Were you using a different UI theme before? If you can share the pictures on a Google drive, I'll check all of your settings.

I did not change any of UI themes. They are still set as they were before I took out the radio. I have never shared a Drive folder so it'll take me a minute to figure out.

Once you create the folder and add files, right click and select share or it may say "get shareable link". PM me that link, those types of links are accessible to anyone you give the link to until you turn sharing off on that folder.

Your CAN and AIR Baudrates are correct. Dodge Ram LO is for the 4-fan speed with that large black plug. (Your truck)

If Changyuantong with Bagu doesn't work, try Changyuantong with Xinpu. It's the Protocol our Linkswell Radios use.

That red CANBOX with the CH-... serial number (in our case) is usually for CHEVY vehicles. Our Dodge Ram red box starts with XSBOX-007. Maybe you have the wrong CANBOX? Running a Dodge Ram XFY, SIMPLE, or CANBUS update may fix that. (If you can find one)
