Let me put it this way. On flat land the 6.4L can pull 0-60 just as fast as the 6.7L with the same load. It's a sweet engine. It really gets up and goes. Even with my lift and tires my 0-60 is right around 7.8 seconds.

It is one of the race style mufflers, so I doubt it would be on the quiet side.
Yea I wish they had put the exact size of the muffler itself. I cant find a good video with an accurate sound quality

Towing or not, 4.10's is the way to go with the 6.4.

I wish mufflex made an exhaust for the 3500's. On the website it states for 2500's only with coil springs. I wonder how the exhaust mounting is different between coil and leaf spring rears.

I am also hoping to find a dyno and get a few pulls in to see where the truck sits on putting power to the ground.

That would be fantastic. It's amazing the 6.4 has been out for over a year and there still aren't any torque curves for it.

With my F-250 it has a 7.5 L "460" cid.Motor. Compared to that motor as for pulling power how is the Hemi compare? What rear ends do you have ? My current has a 4:10.1 Positrac. 1ton Rear End. If I set the cruise ontrol I can get about 11 to 13 mpg.

Had a 92 F350 CC etup like that and could get the same mileage. Trucks way about the same. The 6.4 has more power and pep even with the 3.73 gears. Mileage will be better on the highway for sure. Figure on a 200 mile interstate run at 60 I'll be seeing an average of 15 at least if not closer to 17.

I dont understand the "hatred" for the 3:73's. I have no issues towing 12k easily... friend picked up exact truck as mine (3500 srw tradesmen), but with 4:10's we've driven each other's truck, and there isn't any noticeable difference unloaded. He is getting 2-3 mpgs less than I am, but he's only has 4000mi on his where I've got 17k. I have gotten 19 hand calculated on a highway trip, and as low as 8 dragging my 12k 38' tt. The colder weather has definitely reduced the MPG's.

I'm already averaging 12.x with 3.73's so I figure going to 4.10's I couldn't lose much more... Also I would like to step up to a 34 or 35" tire and I would like to make sure I'm not lugging the motor. Going 55 I'm already at 1400 to 1500 rpm's.

Look on the mufflex website. They have sound clips of the muffler on YouTube. If you look on magnaflows website they only have 2 mufflers that are 3.5" in and out. One being the 12909 and the other being the race muffler.

This is why im gonna swap to 4.56..i figure after 35-37s i'll pretty much have 4.10s or better

Mr truck review part 3 of this motor/ truck combo explains why chassis cabs are rated for less horsepower..its emissions they produce less power because of it..the ram engineer said so himself

I have a Flowmaster 50 Series HD 3.5 in and 3.5 out. Just replaced muffler and added a short straight piece of pipe in front to make up the difference.
I also left the resonator in place. Just turned the tailpipe up so it didn't hang down so far. Flowmaster designed this muffler specifically for the Hemi. I love the sound of it.

That is a aluminized muffler isn't it?

I wish it was about $50 cheaper... By the time I get that installed it will end up costing the same as the mufflex again...
Local shop charged me $50 for install.
It was free shipping. So i got $200 in the whole thing. Isn't mufflex $300?

No shop around me has stainless pipe, let alone 3.5" stainless pipe, so I would have to buy that myself for $60 plus $75 for the install for the shops around here puts me @ $285 installed.
