I heard a few Magnaflow samples on YouTube but couldn't find any model or part #'s. They sounded very similar to the 50 series Flowmaster I have on my '02, which I love. That mufflex kit seems to be what I'm looking for providing the muffler has the sound I'm looking for. I've always been a Flowmaster guy so Im not familiar at all with Magnaflow.

Check out this kit. I was looking into an exhaust for mine and like the look of the dual rear exit on this one.

Nick carries these as well and can get you a good price.

I just want to replace the muffler itself.
For now.

Let's say I'm gonna order something, do I need the 3" i/o or the 3.5" i/o?
And which offset (if any)?

^ If that’s what you are wanting to do then I recommend the Mufflex. If you want it loud then go with the muffler delete one, if you want it mild, then I recommend the one with the Magnaflow. The mango flow is pretty tame at idle, but once u throttle down it gets pretty loud.

^^^^OP this is good advise. I have done this over the years with the different RAMS I have had. Only replaced the muffler. Really important that you be aware of the Hemi drone/cab resonation with "some" mufflers. MY 03 and 07 5.7, I put Magnaflow "application specific" "Hemi engineered" guaranteed no drone mufflers on when they came out. The aftermarket mufflers I had originally put on were a irritating problem. My fault. I was chasing dollars instead of a quality improvement.

I've always used Flowmaster 50's on my trucks. And I've had a bunch of them. Rams, Dakotas, Durangos.
Varying V8's but they all sounded pretty much the same with that muffler. It's like my signature sound lol.

Getting the check gas cap, followed by CEL soon after again

I replaced the gas cap with a new factory part last month. It lasted 2 tanks, and here we are again

Check the lines going to the canister. I started having that out of no where and would go away and come back. I found one of the lines had come off the canister. Not sure how as it locks in place but it did.

Have you tried using the +/- on the Colum shifter?

Looks like the check engine light is on, it could be in a “ Limp Mode”. If that’s the case, pull the codes, could just be a solinoide.

When mine did this it was the shift solenoid inside the transmission. No idea what it cost as it was replaced under warranty.

Yes been trying on combinations of + -, check engine lite came on when this happened. I've had this truck for just one week now so today I was experimenting with the manual shifting, coincidence I hope that it all of on didn't work.

All the lines are tight at the canister end. I traced it back to where it goes above the gas tank, and it looks fine up to that point.

Ok I'm getting roughly 8-10 mph running premium fuel. I was under the assumption that I had to run high test fuel. Installed plow getting 5 mph when plowing. Will it ever improve.
GOT A QUESTION ABOUT DASH GUAGES. BOTH MY TEMP GUAGE AND OIL GUAGES READ 104- and 100 prior to startup. This is getting in it turning the key on-then scrolling through the dash digital cluster with the buttons on the steering wheel.

Is this the same on your 2014 Ram 5500? Thanks

In reference to your gauge question. That is normal, that is the lowest temp readable and it only goes up from there. Your gas mileage is good for that type of setup in regards to a 6.4 Hemi. I have a 2500 and get that around town. In reference to the snow plow mileage. I can only assume that is normal. You are doing a lot of work with that large engine and basically you are going in circles. The 6.4 Hemi is a work engine and it does a great job at that. If you want fuel mileage your only option is to go with a diesel and gain a few more MPG. But that comes at a cost also.

Do you own a 2014 Ram ?
Reason I ask is I'm not sure about the oil pressure/ temp GUAGES shouldnt they read the ambient temperature outside the way the transmission temp guage reads prior to starting the engine.

I own a 2015 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi. The sensors have a limited lower temp range. they are programed to start reading data at the designated temp. Once the computer reads increased temps over the minimal setting you will see that the red arrow disappears and the temp increases.

I have. It alternates between P0442 and P0455. They’re the codes for small and large evap leaks. Everything that comes back is only for gen2/3.
I still have about 4K miles on the factory emission warranty, but the dealerships are full of morons.
