Hello,

Names Chris and I joined the Forum today. I am a Active Duty Corpsman(regardless of what they say). I own a 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 SLT 4x4 Quad Cab. Current Mods: JBA Longtubes (Cat Delete), K&N Intake, Moes TB, Low temp Stat, Moes Oil Catch Can, 3in exhaust with a Flowmaster Super 40 Muffler. Hemifever 91 octane tune. 6in fabtech Lift with 35in tires on 18s.

With all that being said I am requesting to get the absolute clear gear picture.
I spent most of the afternoon yesterday researching and decided to just ask myself. I want to go from the 3.55 to the 4.56 gears front and back. In the researching I came across the need for some modification to the housing or gears/center pin to complete this mod. Is that the absolute truth and what does that actually include? Install kits seems to be a "need" item as well, so master install kits for front and back? As far as gear brand choice I started at Moes and found the 9.25 rear gears there as well the 8 gears for the front. Is there a brand choice that people on here have a preference to? according to the build sheet I pulled the 215mm from translated to 8.46in in the front will the 8s fit the front or do I have to find something closer to the 8.46? Also, I can't seem to find the front gears anywhere help with that would be awesome as well. Yukon seems popular with the forums for the rear and USA gears for the Front? Just want to get the clear picture so i can get this ball rolling. any help will be appreciated. and apologize if this has been posted over and over again. Thanks again!!
