Where is your best source for Redline? I know its pricey, but $45 for a gallon on Amazon feels crazy.

if it makes you feel better, 17 bucks a quart when I went to one of the few local auto parts stores that sells it in calgary. I know things cost more in canada but still sad. city of 1.1 million and there's probably less places than you can count on one hand that sell it here.

Curious about this too, looking to grab some potentially in the next week or 2 for my first oil change on my '19 Classic.

The $45 is the cheapest I've found currently. Haven't gotten a quote from Nick@GotExhaust yet though.

I keep going back and forth on ponying up the $$ for Redline or going the "cheap" route for PUP 5w30 unless/until the Hemi Tick shows up.

I have a 2015 1500 sport, 5.7 8 speed. I noticed the tick a couple weeks ago and it’s progressively gotten louder. Reading on here I had some worries it was the lifters. But I took my truck in for an oil change and asked them to check the noise before the oil change. They called and said it was the exhaust bolts and would be covered under warranty. Then this good news story turned sideways. The Service Advisor then began to tell me how his mechanic says the front pad and rotors have been overheated and needed to be replaced to the tune of $1200. After a minute of uncontrollable laugher I pulled myself together and said just


the oil change for today. Funny enough he had



no concern with me driving away with the brakes in “bad” condition. Short drive to the parts store and $300 in parts later. Stealerships eh? Only reason I go is the oil change is reasonable.

I go to the dealership strictly for just oil changes.

And I took my Ram in the other day for an oil change, they had a special on "Piece of Mind" service, and new wiper blades free. All for only $88.00. And I needed new wiper blades anyway. Even though as we all know, nothing is free. I'm sure they worked the price of the "free" wiper blades in somewhere.....and they did. Oh, you want them installed?? that'll be an $12.00 PER blade......

Just curious-does the tick mostly go away after warm-up? My 2012 runs pretty quiet after a couple minutes

I've had my '07 for 5 1/2 yrs. Bought her used from the dealership back in '13. She had 61,000 miles when I got her. Took her in within a couple of months because of the 'tick' noise and they told me it was the exhaust bolts and they were covered under the extended warranty. Today she has 125,500 and she still 'ticks' but usually goes away after she is warmed up.

Mine is the same-after she warms up a bit -she purrs -I have no concerns at this point-I know owners of old Hems from the 1970s talking about the TICK some of those engines are still kicking ass!!!

When the cam had to be replaced in my 2011 Sport, I found out it had broken manifold bolts. I never heard a tick at all. The problem is aluminum heads, cast exhaust manifold. The aluminum cools faster than the cast so the bolts break. I've thought about putting ARP bolts in it. Anyone tried this?

I didn't put ARP but when I put headers on my wife's 2012 Sport, I used Stage 8 locking header bolts. Her truck has recently gotten bad ticking and I checked the bolts but they were all fine. Checking them reminded me how much of a pain it was to do the headers, haha.
