. I knew literally ZERO about proper washing techniques, ANY products like sealants or waxes or coatings etc, nothing at all. I hand washed my truck 90% of the time just because i liked to, but i must admitt to taking it through some horrid autowashes and thinking nothing of it. Anyway goes without saying, my paint was swirled to all hell lol. So i decided i wanted to fix that, i did a lot of reading on here in the detailing section, went through lots of threads, saw jay always mention Autotopia so i read a bunch there, and with the help of a friend on some product choices and tips i bought a porter cable DA and all kinds of stuff to not only fix all the damage i caused but prevent any further damage, and everything needed to start doing proper washes. once everything arrived i waited for a time where i could leave work really early friday and have the whole weekend to do it because i knew it was gunna be a lot of work

And finally i got the time to go to town on the trucks paint. It took me 36+ hours of straight work, only breaks i took were quick bathroom breaks and to eat real quick then back at it. It made a night and day difference, soooooooo much work but definitely worth it. heres a few pictures of the swirling, obviously the entire truck was this way
