The Mods have started! :)

Hey all,

So I haven't even taken delivery of my truck and already I am building a list of mods, but would like some input from you guys on a couple.

The rig is a 2018 RAM 1500 Laramie, 5.7 Hemi and the 5'7 tub.

Here is the start of the list...

• Peddle Commander - Had something similar in another truck, and now would not live without it.
• BakFlip F1 Tub Cover - These look really cool - but happy to hear your thoughts. I will get a canopy but it's a 5 month wait, so need something until then.
• BakBox - That is such a cool storage box, and would be good for my guns.
• More Lights up Front - I needs some tips on lighting. My current rig has a bar with huge lights, but this one I don't want to add a bar, so need a way to get some powerful driving lights on her.
  
• Tailgate step - I am short LOL!
• Tailgate Assist
• Tinted Windows
• Andersons Plug in the rear for our camper
  
• 12V plugs in the tub for when I travel
• Inverter with outlet in the tub
• New tires before long - the stock ones are ugly! LOL!

So there is a start... happy to take some advice etc etc.

Welcome--sounds like you have things pretty well planned out. That's a good list to start with, but as I'm sure you know already---there is no place to stop---

Ahaha. Yep. The addiction will be fed nicely.

I need some ideas on driving lights though. That’s the first thing I need to get in top off. I love in the country so lights at night are a must.

Any ideas??

Does your Ram have the front tow hooks? If not, they sell the LED flush mount light kits that can be installed on the plastic filler panels for extra lighting. Or you could get a Go Rhino 2.0 sport bar for the back that has the fold down light bracket.....

Not familiar with what an Anderson's plug is? Is that something different than the 7 pin/4 pin trailer connection?

Ahaha. Yes we do call the bed a tub. Or some call it a tray.

An Anderson’s plug is what we use to run camper trailers etc. it feeds voltage down the rear to run fridges or secondary batteries etc.

Mine has the damn hooks in the front. Which seems a waste to me. I could better use those areas for lighting.

The front hooks can be removed pretty quick and easy, two nuts and one long bolt per side. Then get the Diode Dynamics kit and put them in there. It's not hard to do. Funny, I just put front tow hooks in mine....LOL.

Yeah the first time I heard two Aussies speaking with each other I heard the girls say, "Let's go outside and smoke a ***..." I was like HOLY MOLY, they're going to murder a homosexual......didn't realize they were talking about having a cigarette....this was when I was younger, dumber and overseas in the Marines (In the 90's mind you...). I learned rather quickly, that terminology overseas is different...

Pull the towhooks if you dont need them and install either flush mount like my 40 watt or small pods fit

Are the LEDs bright enough? They look ok from the picture above. Just need them as bright as possible.

The language over here can be very different lol.

For example, “fanny” over here is not your backside. It’s a woman’s front side.
