Theft/alarm question

I ask this question not because I want to steal one, just wondering. Some **** tried to steal my '04 some yrs ago by drilling out the ignition. Now that my '15 has the push button with no place for a key, do I need an after market alarm or is the stock one enough?

as long as something is worth stealing there will be a way to steal it. i've read that the stock alarm doesn't cover windows so it's still pretty easy for someone to smash out a window and take whatever they want. i'm actually curious what it does take to set off the stock alarm because i've bumped the truck pretty good a few times walking around or just throwing something into the bed and it's never gone off

The **** drilled under my '04 door handle and tried to drill the ignition. The drill bit broke and they left. They left my XM radio and my GPS. According to the police, they wanted the truck because there was a string thefts of Rams to "crash the truck through a 7-11 and steal the ATM".

I was wondering if there was a way to steal a truck that doesn't have a key to start it or should I get a Viper alarm with an engine kill switch. The keys of the '04 didn't have a chip in it so the Police said they are easier to steal than the future yrs.

I have been wondering this myself. I have a 2010 and some dei motiom and glass break modules. My goal is to tap into the factory alarm, and add these two modules.

If ayone has input, by all means.

These modules are cheap to buy and go off sending a ground out.
