I had the same thing happen when my 2014 was about 5 years old. I went out one day to start it and it looked like every warning light on the dash lit up (including what looked to me like a lightning bolt). Wouldn’t start. Tried using a jump pack, nothing. I had it towed to the dealer expecting some sort of huge repair bill. They called a couple of hours later - bad battery. They put in a new battery and everything was fine.

They told me that there are so many sensors and tests that these vehicles run on themselves that, when a battery gets to a certain point, most of the sensor readings go out of spec and the vehicle won’t start. Honestly, this is the simplest ( and typically) the best explanation.

The only difference is how new the OP’s battery is so probably just defective. As a side note, I personally am a little skeptical of all the “battery maintainers” being used. It is my understanding that, if not done properly, based on the type of battery, damage and life shortening can result.

Now, about a week and a half later, I checked the battery while the engine was off with my trusty Fluke VOM. 12.60 volts. The voltage indicator in the dash shows 14.0-14.4 V while I'm driving.

Does that sound ok?

It sounds like your alternator is working, but measuring the battery float voltage with an DMM is insufficient information and says nothing about the battery's capacity under load.

As already mentioned, a toaster-style battery load tester will tell you what you need to know about the battery.
