My engine runs great and I have no codes but I noticed a tick from the front passenger side when idling. Temperature doesn't make a difference so I don't think it's the exaust manifolds and the tick is not so loud.

When I rev the engine it goes away but it comes back after a few seconds when idling. This can be heard in the video when the ticking starts after 3 seconds.

Is this the beginning of a lifter issue or what else could this be?

Help much appreciated.

Too much white noise behind the tick, but yes I did hear it. Because of the video, I couldn't be too much help. Could be valve, or most likely lifter or exhaust bolts. Get down there and tug on all exhaust manifold bolts, see if you can find any issues. Take recording device and place it under the engine and let engine run for a few minutes like 2-3 minutes with the tick.

If it is lifter tick, look up threads in my sig and read what 100's of ram owners have done.

I have noticed the ticking sound too in my 2016 5.7 Hemi! I will definitely listen and notice how long it lasts. And check closer for issues under

One each side one bolt of the heat shield of the exhaust manifold is broken.. I ordered used manifold that are flattened. Hopefully no more tick after that.
