Ticking noise in engine.

During idle and acceleration I have a ticking noise in my 2011 Ram Truck. I can also hear the noise while sustaining highway speed of 70mph. I have 26,000 miles on my truck and she is very well taken care of. Any suggestions before I head to the dealer?

welcome to RF. The hemi's are known for having a ticking noise which is commonly referred to as the hemi tick. Very good chance that is what it is

Do I assume that is normal? I have ZERO performance issues. I hate taking it to a dealer if that is not necessary. Thank you for the quick reponse.

yep my truck has the hemi tick and i can here it also.... not much you can do as it is perfectly normal....

now some have it some dont.... my dads 11 doesnt have it.... mine(09) ticks like a damn clock
