I wish. So far my highest is 15 with 11 the normal. Although I'm not light footed and not doing lot of highway driving. I've seen 19 in the past on a long highway trip. I knew a truck with a V8 is going to suck for mpg. I didn't buy a truck for mpgs. I have to do a tune up to see if I can get rid of my pinging.

I got a hand calculated 18.5 mpg last tank. I was happy with it. Putting exhaust on soon so that may drop a little.

Huh- I would have thought Chev's got better mileage? My FIL constantly shows me the ridiculous MPG his GM's (5.3) get.

I got 18.5MPG on a highway trip last weekend; far and away our best. It seems as though our engine has finally broken in at 36,000Km.

Hand calculated 24 and change mpg last week on a mixed (75% highway) trip, but I drive the pentstar; tough to drive it like it's stolen when it's not the hemi.

If you think 24 is good, go test drive an Ecodiesel. I got 30mpg on my way home from work today

Drove from Fayetteville NC to Williamsburg VA last weekend cruise set at 75 and pulled 20.6 hand calculated. Rocking the hemi.

I averaged on a trip from Pittsburgh, pa to Ocean City MD 20.1 mpg in my 2013. Average speed on highways were 75-80 and then a lot of stop and go once we hit MD

Not hand calculated, everything was done on the truck.

Why are we comparing apples and hammers here? Yeah the ED is great but let's keep this to gas engines, and 5.7 at that.

Change the thread title to include 5.7 then. The first thread doesn't specify the engine, although I (and others) don't see signature blocks when using tapatalk to browse the forum.

I don't know how you guys are getting such low MPG...
I've been averaging about 10L/100km, which is about 23.5mpg

I'm short distance and stop and go the entire way so it kinda hurts me. Wednesday I'll be on a 5 hour road trip for work so I get to see what she has

Is that US gallons or imperial gallons. Even cruise set at 55 I couldn't get that mileage with mine.

That's US gallons.
If I used Imperial (like I should have been, seeing as how I'm in Canada), it would have been something like 28.2 mpg.

On good days not fighting a head wind, mine will get 20-21 at 77 mph. On two lane 65 mph mine will get close to 22, around town I average 17-18

Hand calculated? Mine would read around there too until my lift kit. It was evic numbers though, they are anywhere from .5-1 L/100kms off.

these mileage comparos are always entertaining. My EVIC so far seems to read 1-2 mpg better than I'm hand calculating.

On a recent trip to florida & back, I got pretty good mpg

60 was 20.5, evic read 21.7
65 was 19.5, evic read 20.5
70 was 18.5, evic read 19.6

All hand calculated, and I swear had I done any stint @ 55, I could have gotten 21 mpg.

This is a 2012 CC 4x4 3.92 truck with barely 8000 miles on it at the time. It now has 10,200 on it, so the engine is getting broken in good finally.
